Save the date for Jackpot Team Penning! Come and sort some cattle!
Team penning is a western equestrian sport that evolved from the common ranch work of separating cattle into pens for branding, doctoring, or transport.
Today it is a fast-paced event that gives a team of three riders on horseback from 60 to 90 seconds to separate three specifically identified cattle from a herd of 15, and put them into a 20′ x 24′ pen through a 10′ opening, at the opposite end of the arena
Jackpot team penning is for all ages and all riding abilities. There will be two go rounds for each team. The cost is $75 per team and there will be a 50 percent payback of total entries. Payout will be based on the number of teams signed up. Everyone is welcome!
Admission for spectators is free and there will be food/beverages for purchase.
